nanasix, My heart and prayers go out to you. I've read all your other comments and you are always on my mind. I can honestly say that I don't think anyone knows what all is connected with the Jo-1 syndrome. I recently had to have shoulder surgery. When I first complained to my doctor(s) about the pain I was having my primary care asked me if it had anything to do with Jo-1. They don't even know. My rheumatologist just wanted to do steroid injections without any imaging, assuming it was part of the Jo-1. I am convinced that I am right when I say there is a reason that what doctors do is called "practice". And when it comes to Jo-1, none of them know what going on, what causes it, or what it is going to do to us. You keep the faith and I will keep praying for us all.

My goodness. So sorry for all you've been through. It does seem like a roller coaster ride that you've never been on before and you never know what's coming next with this disease. My pulmonologist said in his 17 year practice in fairly large cities, I'm only the 3rd one he's ever had with this syndrome so I think we are all learning together. Hope you will feel better every day.

My hopes and prayes are with you. This disease is so weired in that it has not set symtoms that everyone has and no set treatment. I know that I go to the pulmonologist on Friday. I am hoping to improve my lung function since last December. I will take however a lung function staying the same. I just hope that it is one of these. I have a good job and would like to work. I work for Lands End and love it. I answer the phones. I want to be a bright light in peoples day as long as I can. Hang in there.
