Vision problems

Hello -- do any other AMN folks have problems with their vision? I've been experiencing a disturbance for about a year -- it started as an annoying, slight light sensitivity (more so with artificial light), but it has slowly progressed. Now, any find of light is bothersome, and now I don't feel that it's ever (really) bright enough. But, if I look directly at a light, I squint as if it's too bright! It's strange... I've seen a neuro-ophthalmologist and he has detected some peripheral vision loss (only in the two lower quadrants). For the most part, my vision is pretty clear (not blurry), but I don't think that I focus as quickly as I should and it just always feels that "the lighting is just not right." Do any other AMN-types have similar experiences? Thanks, Jason

No - not at all, Jason.

No I don't. I have great vision still, and I'm very thankful for it. I just get walking troubles for now. Maybe in the future, knock on wood.

I have vision issues, but they are just beginning. I see black spots in my vision, etc. Sometimes things are a little blurry, etc. I feel for you because I was told I have neuropathy of the eyes which means I will eventually go blind. That sucks.

I am also seeing things that are not there lately. Don't know what that's about.

I met a guy who is 39 and his vision has really deteriorated... he's going to have a BMT in a couple of weeks. AMN is so unpredictable -- it affects everyone differently.

Seether -- given your current vision problems, what can't you do anymore? Can you drive, read the paper, watch TV, etc? I guess you can see the computer, so that's something.

My issues are with seeing things moving when they're not, peripheral vision, etc. I can still drive and read, so I'm fine, but just worries me.
