Dear all, hi everyone. My name is Valentina, my boyfriend and I found out that he is affected by adrenomieloneuropathy. We had a diet to follow and we have requested the Lorenzo oil. He has problems of balance, in walking and feels tired. I would like to know if apart for walking any specific motorial activity is suggested and which is the best therapeutical massage to do for him! Ciao and thank you very much for your help I have a deep respect and understanding for what you face and hope to be of any help to you as in this moment you are for me. Valentina

Hello Valentina, I've heard repeatedly that the best therapy is actually to walk and keep active (aside of all the exercises he'll be shown in his therapies). I've heard of a new therapy based on electric stimulation, but have not been able to get it yet, so can not comment. and finally, and most important.... I believe one of the things that works the best is attitude. Being happy really helps with everything. Hope this helps.

Hello valentina, I would agree with fdemiranda, I have found that walking and moving around during the day works. I also agree with having a positive attitude, The mind is very powerfull.

Thank you very much for your reply, you talk about "all the exercises he’ll be shown in his therapies" but he has not an exercise terapy... so I will ask his doctor, thank you!!! POSITIVE ATTITUDE will be our aim!

Hi Valentina. I am Cindy's boyfriend. She told me to post on here. I have AMN. I have difficulty walking. Balance issues mainly. I take painkillers for pain. I take baclofen for spasticity. I take other drugs too for other reasons. My main advice is to stay active. Walk as much as you can, even though it sucks. I work out frequently. I also do yoga maybe only once per week. It helps with the mind and calmness. The mind is the most powerful. Always stay happy. Always stay positive. Be a good girlfriend. I know Cindy is, and it makes me literally healthier to be in a good relationship. I'd love to talk more. My email is gtritchie@gmail.com Ciao!

Ciao Garret! Thank you for your suggestion! (Yoga for him is too much! I am trying to find either another sport activity, or a personal teacher of yoga!) I am happy to write to your e-mail and keep in touch with you and Cindy! I spoke to her about adrenomix. Our doctor, Marina Melone is a research professor and well known medician for neurological diseases. After some exams Francesco has been given a specific diet and the adrenomix oil. Are you followed by a specialized doctor? I think it is very important to have one! After only two weeks with the oil and diet Francesco is feeling better with his leg, balance... Val

Hi Valentina My husband also has AMN. We haven't heard of Adrenomix before. I'll google it. Does it help with his walking? Aish
