hello to the group. it has been awhile since i have posted. need help.
adeline had been doing pretty well this fall. making strides in all of her therapies. over
the last couple of weeks really moving around. she will be three the end of
may. has been standing a lot. taking steps and walking some with a rear/hind
walker. SO PROUD. has been on several rounds of antibotics lately. some bad
stuff going around and ran a pretty high temperature for three days before
christmas. she had a really bad cold and stuff usually hangs around with her
due to the blocked right nostril. last thursday she bumped her mouth on the
coffee table and had her first busted lip. lots of ice and was fine. the next
afternoon she became very wobbly. by saturday morning we were very concerned.
took her into the pediatrician and everything checked out. there has been no
fever. she was worse sunday. she looks drunk. can stand up and down, crawl in
a straight line, but falling down some in her pack and play and very unsteady on
her feet. did complete blood panel on monday. wanted to see if there was an
eleytrolyte imbalance. all came back fine today. have not altered any of her
supplements. she is on miralax, probiotic, compounded prilosec, cod liver oil,
coq10, zinc drink and we often give her epsom salt baths. we were using a
nebulizer with saline and that was really helping her breath. did craniosacral
therapy last night and had some good releases. the cranio therapist thought she
may have misaligned her jaw/ear area with bump to the table. saw her
neurologist today and examined her. he wanted to sit tight. i mentioned an
mri, but putting her under with one nostril is tricky. we see ENT tomorrow.
want to get his take. couple folks mentioned vestibular inflamation. she is
doing a modified downward facing dog and head to the floor and that is sensory.
she does have lots of sensory issues. she is happy for the most part. refluxed
the last two days just alittle. which is not unusual for her. i am very
concerned with her balance issues. do not think she has had a seizure. eyes
are clear. her physical therapist took a look yesterday morning and turned her
in a circle and said eyes looked good. any thoughts? any suggestions? anybody
had this happen before. any thing i should ask my doctors? this is scary and
feel like i am losing my daughter. thanks so much. lindy, mom to adeline, 4q21.22q21.23
