My entire family has these characteristics, my brother, father, uncle, grandfather, grandfather's nieces and nephews and brothers and sisters. It has been explained to me as a male dominant gene, thus I have this because it was more powerful than my mother's genes. What is the case for the other members?

My brothers and sister all have it. My dad and his 2 siblings also. The statistics are that 50% should. It does hold true to my nieces and nephews. We have a growing group on Facebook with discussion and pictures. Please come and join us. There is also a fair amount of discussion on inspire.com.
