Hello All! I had a question about the memebers and if any of you were able to have children and I would like to talk to someone about our experience peferable someone that I can email and talk to. Me and my fiance would like to get pregnant once we are married for several months and would like to speak to someone who has gone through it just to see what i would expect. Thank you! Maria

Hi Maria. I had the hormone problems 2 months before 1 got pregnant for 2nd baby. But perhaps because the panhypo developed gradually, I was lucky and got pregnant. My boy is ok so far. 15 years later when I was approaching 40, I wanted to have another baby, perhaps the last one (age reason). The endo advised me not to conceive again. Reasons are 1. the age, 2. at that time I was already panhypo. They said although I can take the relevant hormon/s for pregnancy, but its risky - possible of down syndrom and other problems to the baby. I discussed this matter with 2 different endos for opinions/views. Yours might be different, you are still young. May you and future hubby have a wonderful married life. Regards. Rose

Hello Rose, Thanks for replying. Its great to hear that you were able to have kids before this disease. This definately gave me some input on the whole baby thing. Thanks for the wishes Sincerely Maria

Hi Maria-- I have a specialized obgyn that told me that I am able to conceive, but like Rose said it depends on your age and all the other things that come with pregnancy (If you produce eggs, and how your ovaries are physically, what I was told by my obgyn) If all is well than you can try naturally or they can try invitro or giving you hormones. If you're really looking to get conceive ask your endocrinologist if he can reccomend a obgyn that specializes in endocrine disorders. I hope you both have a great day!
