Hi Online I am known as Ladymermaid. I am new to this forum and just stumbled across it the other day. I had found the myositis.org community years ago and so visit there on a regular basis. I have the JO-1 antibodies and antisynthetase syndrome. I have been ill now for around 25 years with this so am beginning to be an old hat at this very odd illness. It can however still scare the heck out of me on occasion. I am just recovering from the swine flu (or at least I hope so) and that was an episode that really had me more than a little concerned. I value my life and kind of want to keep it. With winter approaching I hope that everyone else is well. It is nice to find another community that deals with this very rare illness. Ladymermaid

Ladymermaid - Are you taking any particular medication(s) these days, specifically for symptoms of your anti-synthetase syndrome? I guess medication choices have evolved down the years...have your doctors brought new ones to your attention? I'm also curious about the ways 'myositis.org' has been useful, and how it compares to this website, where I think the number of patients is smaller (should I switch?) Greg
