My time at the NIH

I returned from the NIH yesterday and it was very enlightening. I was glad to get the opportunity to talk to DR. Druey and his study coordinator Wei was extremely helpful and friendly. For those of you who are looking into this make sure you're ready to give up the blood but that was the only invasive thing they did. I'd highly recommend this if only to talk to someone knowledgeable about this condition and the outlook for the future..

Please tell me more about your visit at NIH. Were you admitted as a patient? How long were you there? Does the hospital pay for the tests? How much blood was needed?

I was admitted. Upon arrival I went to building 10 where I checked in and was admitted. It was a Sunday afternoon and I was discharged on Tuesday. There were no costs (except when I bought coffee). Monday was the blood draw day, they took 30 some odd vials I believe. Dr. Druey and Wei were extremely pleasant and were quite helpfull.
