Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying this time of the year wherever you may be. It is finally cool mornings here in Florida so I am happy. I was wondering, though not looking for a debate of the topic, if anyone is not getting the vaccine.
I hope everyone continues to stay healthy, happy, and full of grace.

There's another string that has much cordial information on this question. Take a look by scrolling down.
I and my extended family are vaccinated.
As an aside, I remember that you were in North Central Florida. I left Ocala and UF to isolate in Maine because a group of anesthesia residents at UF triggered a tragic outbreak by being careless at a wedding. I lost confidence in the infection control culture and the common sense of the doctors & nurses at that time. I'm sure that it has improved in the past 19 months.
I am now making arrangements with AdventHealth Ocala, a large nonprofit hospital, after rigorous research. They are the new owners and have a strong ethic of safety and caring.

Susan,
I am about 45 minutes from Ocala! I was just at that hospital a couple weeks ago for testing. It is a bit crazy up there with the 2 hospitals right next to each other. Compared to the small town we just moved to, Ocala is a huge city. I am still driving back to Tampa for treatment however I plan to switch to Brooksville before the New Year. We will have to get together one day once you have settled.
safe travels,
shannon
Shannon,
That would be great, both socially and medically. I serve as a board member and quality committee chair at the Heart of Florida Health Center, a large nonprofit in Marion County. Excellent outpatient care.
I'm a medical "snowbird" and hope to avoid the coldest part of the Maine winter in Ocala. I'm hoping that the COVID cases per capita decrease before I travel.
