Dear All,

As we know, there are 80% SCLS diagnosed patient have MGUS in our blood. And the MGUS is a factor to increase the risk of blood cancer.
I read a article is about (CAR) T cell therapy destroy cancers before. Is there any relationship between (CAR) T cell therapy and MGUS?

Is there any chance about(CAR) T cell therapy destroy SCLS?

Hi Wangtai,

The diagnosis of monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) is made when a paraprotein is found on protein electrophoresis in the blood of a patient without any symptoms. MGUS, which is an immunoglubulin abnormality revealed only by the laboratory, does not require any treatment and should simply be checked once a year because there is a small risk, about 1%/year, that this MGUS will develop into a blood cancer. To date, no treatment has been shown to be effective in reducing the risk of progression.

Best regards, Claude Pfefferlé, Switzerland.
