Hello, For 9 months I have got Octagam monthly and adjourned it so far without problems. In the last dose I got an allergic shock after 300mg: a thick lip, rash all over the body, cough, and shortness of breath. I was separated from the infusion and received funds from the sudden strong allergy. The reaction calmed down and the next day, the infusion was carried out with Gamunex . There were no further problems. Octagam may cause allergic reactions. My guess is that by an existing allergic reaction to spring flowering trees a week earlier, Octagam increased the allergic reaction.. Did either of you ever had a similar reaction? Liese

Hello Liese. My husband reacts badly to all IVIG, but his symptoms are severe headache, and often it causes a second episode of capillary leak. However, he's never had the type of allergic reactions you describe (thick lip, rash, etc.)
