Hi I am a retired MD with t cell LGLL unresponsive (ie no remission) to 3 medications (MTX, Cytoxan & CycA) presently on cycA. With 15 months of neutropenia (around .5 ANC) I decided to replete my vitamin D level over 2.5 months from insufficient to mid-normal range and my total WBC and ANC doubled during this time. I found a nutrition article that explained the mechanism and effect of vitamin D in autoimmune diseases and think this has GREAT application in the armament of therapies in this disease. Another woman off all immunosuppressants for LGLL did the same and tripled her numbers! I would be happy to participate and help others suppoert their immune system. A lot more sensible and cheaper than the neulasta injections I needed about every month or 6 weeks. Thankyou. Christine Weart, MD ( Tina Sachs...married name)

Buffalo, a very interesting point you make about Vitamin D. It has been reported that VD presenting levels are an important prognosis in CLL. The immune modulating effects of VD and the VDR found on lymphocytes together with your 'response' to VD normalisation all seem to indicate VD is important. What dose are you taking and what blood level are you trying to achieve. cheers JeanPaul
