Hi ! I am currently taking Tylenol & Benadryl prior to my bi-weekly IVIG infusions. I am still "foggy" the day after my infusion. We have been discussing changing the benadryl to Claritan to help prevent the foggy feeling. I'm curious if anyone else uses Claritan and how you feel the next day after infusion. Thanks !

My pre-meds: Benadryl, Tylenol, Atavan, and Solumedrol. Main issue seems to be the Solumedrol makes me a little on edge and flushed; not sure on how the Benadryl affects me. I would never go without it(the Solumedrol) though as the headaches were unbearable. I have pretty good luck with the Benadryl it seems, as I take it the next few days to help with sleep that is a little tougher due to the Solumedrol. My body seems to have adjusted pretty well to the whole process. Sorry I am not more help.

My premeds are Benadryl and acetaminophen. I still have trouble with the foggy feeling and fatigue during the few days following my IVIG treatments. I have discovered that taking the same premeds in the days following helps a lot. I also take Allegra regularly for seasonal allergies and that may be why I don't experience so much of that foggy feeling.
