Sm emergency?

Hey all So I ended up in the ER yesterday for sudden severe pain in the location of my syrinx. The pain also seemed to go into my shoulder. It was like the worst muscle spasm ever and my back almost seems immobile. They tried to contact my neurologist in the ER but it was Friday after hours and they couldn't get ahold of him. They didn't do any imaging, just checked my neurological "status" so to speak and told me to get in contact with him Monday. Well today I still have the same symptoms plus a splitting headache. Has anyone had any experience with a syrinx rupturing or ending up in the ER for your sm? I don't know if I should go back at this point due to the new headache or what.

Hi there, I've not been to the er but had to go to an urgent care recently for a splitting headache that lasted two weeks. They gave me a shot of toradil which helped significantly and the for the next weeks or so my neuro told me to take 2 Aleve every 12 hours. He also suggested I do some stretching of my neck for as often as I could to help relax the tension in my neck and shoulder muscles.

Yea, they gave me a couple shots of pain medicine and muscle relaxer which helped some but now I'm right back in agony. I don't know what's going on but this pain is different from anything I've ever felt and I'm scared something is going on with the syrinx!
