What's up guys? today February 17, 2013 I got a boost of energy/confidence that I can run again so I went for it! I didn't look normal but I walked pretty far, pretty fast, for being off my forearm crutches. Come on guys, lets do this! this is the only thing I have let get the best of me. Lets not quit, look forward and do our best! We can do this!!

My husband played football until he was 39 even though he'd fall over a bit etc. He's 58 now and using crutches all the time and a wheelchair for long distances but I think not knowing what was wrong until just a few years ago meant he just carried on as normal-ish. He'd always presumed his problems were as a result of a bad fall where he'd hurt his back so didn't dwell too much on them. Maybe that's the secret.

Dang! He is lucky, symptoms at an older age progress slower. I began at 21...

Morning guys. Anthony-well done buddy! You should be proud of yourself and keep going! Aish, I fully agree, my symptoms manifested themselves a good few years before I was diagnosed and because I never fully knew what it was before I just carried on as normal whether I tripped or fell I just thought it was related to something else? I guess half of the battle is how you think about it. If I do trip or fall I tell myself "NO" and I keep on going trying harder. In reality i'm sure I would benefit from a walking device but I refuse to give in... Anyway Anthony, keep up the good work buddy, it's always good to hear of someone's progress! :-)
